One of the highlights was the spacious and modern shower in the room. The hotel's close proximity to Shanxi University made it a convenient stay, with just a 20-minute walk to the south end where I worked.
Be cautious of the taxi drivers from the airport, as they may try to overcharge by shutting off the meter. This was a frustrating experience that detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Taxi scams from the airport were a bummer. The taxi meter driver turned off the meter as soon as we left the airport and charged a hefty sum once we arrived at the hotel.
